In 1998, I visited Provence for the first time at the invitation of my friend, Beth, who owns a successful french lavender importing business. I had never visited Europe and I didn't have a clue what to expect. Speaking no french at the time, I patted myself on my back for each small accomplishment along the way; finding my gate at Charles de Gaulle airport, getting on the right train, finding my seat, and finally traversing the train station to meet Beth. Strangely though, I never felt anxious. I knew right away I should be here.
While I continue to manage Beth's website and travel with her occasionally to help organize shipments and shop for new products, I wanted to find my own reason to visit and hopefully find a means to purchase my own little piece of paradise. So, in 2002, Provence Properties was born with the help of my French friend and now business partner, Deodat.
Provence Properties now proudly represents over 60 homes in the Luberon, Vaucluse, Drome, and the Riviera, and continues to grow.
Recently my curiousity has sent me east of the French border into the beautiful Italian region of Tuscany. I am intrigued with the Mediterranean lifestyle and climate and can't wait to learn more about this area. Life is a journey, and a grand one at that.
